Bihar Board Scholarship 2025: Complete information about the NSP Scholarship Scheme

Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has made a big announcement for the meritorious students appearing in the Intermediate Annual Examination 2025. Under Bihar Board Scholarship 2025, students who come in the top 20% percentile will be given a scholarship through the NSP Scholarship, i.e., National Scholarship Portal.

This scholarship scheme comes under PM-USP CSSS (Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students), run by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. What is Bihar Board Scholarship 2025?

Bihar Board Scholarship 2025 is a centrally sponsored scheme given to those students who score good marks in the 12th board examination (2025) and come from economically weaker sections. Its purpose is to provide financial assistance to the students for further studies.

Objective of Scholarship

• To encourage meritorious but financially weak students to pursue higher education.
• To help students study at the college and university level without financial worries.
• To reduce the dropout rate and increase the level of education.

Eligibility Criteria

If you want to apply for the Bihar Board Scholarship 2025, then it is necessary to fulfil all the conditions given below:

• It is mandatory to be in the top 20th % percentile in Bihar Board Intermediate Examination 2025.
• The student has to apply on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
• The annual income of the student’s parents should not exceed ₹4.5 lakh.
• The student should not be getting the benefit of any other scholarship scheme of the Government of India or the State Government.
• The student must be enrolled in a recognised college or university in a UG (Undergraduate) course.

 Application Process (How to Apply to NSP?)

Application for the Bihar Board Scholarship 2025 will be done through the NSP Portal (www.scholarships.gov.in). Follow the process given below:

Step 1: Register on the NSP Portal

• First of all, go to https://www.scholarships.gov.in.
• Click on New Registration.
• Fill in the required information like name, date of birth, mobile number, bank account, etc.

Step 2: Log in and fill out the application form

• After registration, log in.
• Fill out the application form and upload documents

Step 3: Enter Bihar Board details

Enter your identity through Roll Code and Roll Number.

• Roll Number: 25010013

Step 4: Upload Documents

• Marksheet (12th Board)
• Income Certificate
• Aadhar Card
• Copy of Bank Passbook
• Admission Certificate (UG Course)

Step 5: Submit Application

• Verify all the details and finally submit the form.
• Keep a printout or PDF copy safe for future reference.

 Scholarship Amount

• The scholarship amount is sent directly to the student’s bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
• Usually, this amount can range from ₹10,000 to ₹12,000 annually, depending on the course and qualification.

Important Instructions

• The scholarship process is completely online. There is no offline process of any kind.
• A single student cannot avail the benefit of more than one scholarship scheme.
• It is very important to fill out the form before the last date of application; otherwise, the benefit of the scholarship will not be available.
• Bihar Board only sends the list of selected students to the central government. The scholarship amount is paid by the central government.
