The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is an initiative of the Government of India to improve skill standards. This scheme offers monetary incentives and training partners to work in various sectors. It also offers wage employment opportunities for self-employed persons.
198 job roles
Since its launch two years ago, the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal vyshajana (PMKVY) has helped in training more than 15 lakh candidates for 198 job roles. Out of this, 5.8 lakh have found placements under the short-term training component of PMKVY.
This scheme aims to create a skilled workforce for India by empowering 24 lakh youth with industry-relevant training. Trainees who successfully complete their training will receive a financial reward and government certification, helping them secure a better livelihood in the country.
The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal vyas yojana provides training in 40 technical sectors for job seekers who are unemployed or underemployed. Besides, participants can choose the training program that best suits their skill level. The programme runs for five years.
The scheme is run in partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation and other training partners. NSDC has partnered with state and local governments, MPs, and MLAs to conduct Kaushal Vikas Shivirs across the country. Most of these Shivirs include classrooms and labs. The government is funding the initiative, which has reached ten lakh enrolments in the country.
The government’s flagship skill training scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, is designed to improve the productivity of the country’s workforce. The initiative will create a more skilled workforce through a paradigm shift from input-based to outcome-based skill training. To support the initiative, the government has established a National Skill Development Corporation, Sector Skill Councils, and Training Partners.
Monetary reward
The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal vyas Yojana monetary reward scheme is an initiative by the government to provide financial support to youth who are interested in skill development programs. It aims to help 24 lakh youths take up training programs that will improve their earning potential. Under the monetary reward scheme, the training partner will capture the trainee’s details. Then, a certificate will be provided to the trainee, upon successful completion of the training program.
The program offers monetary rewards to participants who complete training programs through government-approved institutions. This initiative aims to train unemployed youths and impart skills that will give them a competitive edge in the workforce. The government estimates that the program will cost Rs. 1,500 crores, and it will benefit approximately 24 lakh youth.
PMKVY is a flagship scheme launched by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The scheme is administered by the National Skill Development Corporation and will include 2150 training partners. The monetary reward will depend on the type of training and job role. It will also be determined by the willingness of the trainee to accept a monetary reward.
The monetary award will be provided to successful trainees only once and cannot be claimed by another candidate who enrolls within the same tenure. The amount of the reward depends on the sector in which the trainee is certified, but an average amount is Rs 8,000 per trainee. However, the amount is dependent on how much the trainee is willing to pay for training and how much the training costs. Higher incentives will be given for training in manufacturing, plumbing, and construction sectors.
The monetary reward is based on the type of job role, and is determined by taking various factors into account. The more skilled the individual is, the higher their incentive. This incentive is intended to help those who would like to pursue a career in these fields.
Training partners
To help the skilled youth of India gain the skills they need, the government has launched a skill development scheme titled the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). The scheme has been designed to train young people for industries such as construction, hospitality, information technology, and engineering. It aims to create a skill database and improve the productivity of skilled individuals.
The program is intended to train and certify a minimum of 100,000 youth in various fields, including health care. The scheme is currently available in 33 states and 425 districts. Currently, many participants have started their employment. The government is establishing an executive committee to review the program and resolve any issues.
The PMKVY training partners will be required to follow specific guidelines to ensure the success of their trainees. This includes the use of modern learning environments and technology. In addition, enrolment at Model Training Centres will be free. The sector skill council will issue a certificate with a QR bar code for secure identification.
PMKVY Training Partners must also take care of proper branding of the scheme and creating awareness about it. They must also prepare their centers for the standards set by the PMKVY. To ensure compliance, they must duly complete the center affiliation form.
The PMKVY program focuses on organizing jobless youth and providing them with training in over 40 technical sectors. The aim is to help jobless youth gain skills they can use to earn a decent living. The scheme is designed to give job prospects and entrepreneurial education, and will last for five years. The government hopes that the program will help create jobs for jobless youth.
Providing wage employment or self-employment
The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is a new government initiative to promote the employment of rural youth. It is a flagship scheme of the Skill India Mission and aims to provide skill based training to a vast number of youth throughout the country. The scheme targets youth belonging to Scheduled Castes and economically weaker sections of society.
Launched in 2015, PMKVY is a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. It aims to provide youth with skills and aptitude needed for job security and improved living standards. The initiative offers training in a variety of sectors and is backed by financial incentives. The PMKVY helps youth develop their skills and become self-employed.
The PMKVY provides training in industry-relevant skill sectors. By rewarding skilled individuals, the PMKVY scheme also promotes entrepreneurial skills. A person who successfully completes a PMKVY training can choose to work in a job in the field of their choice, while an individual who already has some experience in a field can opt for self-employment.
PMKVY is open to unemployed Indian citizens aged 18-35 years. To participate, the applicant must have an Aadhaar card. After completing training, the candidate is eligible for loans and micro-credit for self-employment. The PMKVY also provides job placement services to those who are eligible.
This government initiative is aimed at providing skilled labor to the unemployed. The secondary and tertiary sectors are always in need of skilled workers. This initiative is being coordinated by the National Skill Development Council. It aims to provide 70 percent of trained youth with gainful employment or self-employment.
The PMKVY aims to increase the efficiency of a skilled workforce and contribute to the development of the country. The skills gap in India is growing rapidly, causing employers to struggle to find people with the right skills. Meanwhile, displaced workers are finding it difficult to regain their livelihood. An overhaul of the skilling ecosystem is necessary to address this issue.
